The New Collectives stand with Black Lives Matter.
We believe in inclusive representation in storytelling.
We take responsibility for our shortcomings and hold ourselves accountable.
As we have grown as a company, we have made inclusivity of BIPOC Artists, both on and off stage, a priority. However, we recognize that we have fallen short in doing the same within positions of leadership.
We have not done enough. We can and we will do more.

“Think of a giraffe. All these wonky bits; long neck, tiny feet, spindly legs; that shouldn’t fit together, somehow they do and it works. It runs beautifully.
Theatre is like that.”
As The New Collectives, we have taken that message to heart.
The New Collectives is New York based theatre collective. We gather stories, ideas, and inspiration. We find individuals with wildly different talents. We collect it all together, connect the dots, and create something new that runs beautifully.
Our mission is to create new, intimate, innovative works drawing inspiration from classic plays, to develop contemporary work, and to cultivate community through outreach and education programming.
In an effort to create community and awareness, after every show we collect donations for an organization whose mission aligns with themes brought up in the production.
