The Young Collectives

This is TNC's education wing. We teach Shakespeare to children though in school workshops and school break camps. Registration is open for our Summer Shakespeare Camp!

FACE TO FACE CONFERENCE ​

New York State's Largest Exploration of Arts in Education - April 2017

Erin Maxon, the Education & Outreach Director of The Young Collectives,  presented a two-part workshop, "Positive Classroom Management Techniques for Teaching Artists," at Face to Face Conference in New York City, in partnership with Arts in Education Roundtable.

​Our session description: 
​This two-part workshop offers Teaching Artists the tools to work more effectively with young people. Facilitator Erin Maxon, Education Director of The Young Collectives, translates established behavior management systems for the specific needs of the Arts in Education classroom. The workshop will include hands-on practice, activities, and readings that can be applied in classrooms immediately. Recommended for Teaching Artists of any media working with students age 5 to 14.
